Kaleb Thornhill was raised in Lansing, Michigan, where his passion for football and leadership began to take shape. He attended Lansing Eastern High School, following in the footsteps of his father, the late and legendary “Mad Dog” Thornhill—a standout linebacker at Michigan State University who was drafted into the NFL before injuries cut his career short. Inspired by that legacy, Kaleb and his brother both proudly played linebacker at Michigan State University.
Kaleb holds a B.A. and M.S. from Michigan State University, an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University, and an Executive Education degree from the Wharton Business School through the NFL Athlete Development Certification Program.
Following his collegiate playing career, Kaleb dedicated more than 14 years to the NFL, where he played a pivotal role in developing and empowering thousands of athletes at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels. His deep commitment to athlete success and personal growth eventually led him to a front-office executive position with the San Antonio Spurs, where he continues to drive meaningful impact in leadership and player development.
Kaleb spent over a decade incubating the concept that would become Pro Athlete Community (PAC)—an innovative platform designed to help athletes successfully transition from sports to business. Prior to co-founding PAC, he pioneered the idea of a business “combine”—the first of its kind—connecting athletes with resources, mentorship, and professional opportunities beyond the game.
Through his nonprofit, APEX Academy, Kaleb gives back by providing mentorship, academic support, and leadership development to student-athletes from under-resourced communities—especially in the Lansing area that shaped his journey.
Kaleb now lives in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife Tara and their four children: Charlee, Maddox, Landon, and Lennox.
